Privacy

What this site collects, what stays in your browser, and who sees a paid rewrite.

1. What we do not collect

Checking and cleaning run in your browser. Pasted text for those steps is not uploaded. C2PA file cleaning also stays on your device; the file is not sent to us.

We do not keep a library of your pastes or rewrite outputs. A rewrite job is processed to return the result, then discarded. Do not paste secrets you cannot afford to transmit.

2. What we do collect

  • Checkout email and payment details. Polar collects these to take payment, issue invoices, and handle tax. We use that email as the account for rewrite credits.
  • Session cookie. After checkout or a magic-link sign in, we set an httpOnly cookie so the browser can spend credits. It stores a Polar customer id and email, not your paste.
  • Magic-link mail. We send sign-in links through Resend to the checkout email.
  • Rewrite text in flight. When you run a paid rewrite, the passage is sent to our server and then to a third-party language-model provider (currently Google Gemini, with backups). That is required to produce the rewrite. We do not store it after the job finishes.
  • Usage needed to bill credits. Word count and credit spend are sent to Polar so the meter stays accurate. We do not send Polar the rewritten text.
  • Site analytics. Google Analytics (G-3CFRZXJ306) records visits, pages, and approximate location. It is not used to read your paste.
  • Support mail. If you email us, we keep the thread long enough to answer it.

3. Payments

Polar.sh is the current merchant of record. Card data is entered on Polar’s checkout, not on this site. We may change payment processor; the processor then receives the email and payment details needed to complete the purchase and to meet tax rules. Refunds and terms describe credits and chargebacks.

4. Cookies

Essential: the sign-in cookie named cwr_session. Analytics: Google Analytics cookies if you load the public site. Checking and cleaning do not require cookies.

5. Who we share with

Processors that run the product: Polar (payments and credit meters), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics (traffic), and the model providers that perform rewrite. We do not sell your email or paste to advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to stop fraud or abuse.

6. Retention

Polar keeps customer and payment records as required for billing and tax. Our session cookie lasts about seven days unless you sign in again. Magic links expire in minutes. Rewrite payloads are not kept as a customer history.

7. Your choices

You can use check and clean without an account. You can refuse checkout. You can sign out to drop the session cookie. To ask us to delete support mail we hold, email anshanejaa@gmail.com. Payment records live with Polar; we cannot erase a completed purchase from their ledger.

8. Children

The paid service is not directed at children. Do not buy credits if you are not old enough to form a contract where you live.

9. Changes

We can update this page when the product or processors change. The date at the top is the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance.

10. Law

The operator is in India. Mandatory privacy rules that apply to you still apply. Contact anshanejaa@gmail.com for privacy questions.
